Soles4Souls®, the shoe charity, and their RV team will distribute pairs of new shoes to residents of the Union Gospel Mission in Dallas. The center serves as a shelter to more than 500 homeless men, women and children, providing them with food, shelter, and clothing. Dallas is a part of a 20-city distribution tour to commemorate Soles4Souls Five Year Anniversary. The tour launched in New Orleans, LA on January 8th and will continue to Austin, TX on January 18th.
Soles4Souls staff and RV team are crisscrossing the nation on a national distribution tour and will be present at the site to fit the Union Gospel Mission clients with shoes. Allen and Silvana Clark are empty nesters who joined the Soles4Souls team in early 2009 and have since visited more than 100 cities throughout the country to engage the general public on becoming involved with the charity. They are excited to be involved with the 5 Year Anniversary tour, and knew Dallas would be a great addition. “Dallas is full of successful professionals, but there are also a high number of individuals in need of a helping hand. We are happy to be able to meet the hurting face-to-face and offer them a little hope with the gift of shoes,” said Silvana Clark.
