H&R Block and Soles4Souls® Inc, the Shoe Charity launch fundraising effort in 2010!

NASHVILLE, TN – H&R Block and Soles4Souls will host a city-wide event called ‘Give a Charity a Second Look’ at your neighborhood H&R Block. The community will be able to find out more about Soles4Souls and partner with them and H&R Block to support their cause of distributing shoes to people in need all over the world. Visitors can also get free tax advice or take advantage of our tax services and give back to the community at the same time!
H&R Block and Soles4Souls also announced a new fundraising partnership where Soles4Souls will be awarded $25 for each new eligible client with a referral flyer, who has their tax preparation completed at a participating H&R Block retail office. H&R Block will also be collecting gently worn footwear to ship the shoes to a person in need, whether they are victims of a natural disaster or subject to living in extreme poverty. It is estimated that Americans have 1.5 billion pairs of unused shoes lying in their closets. The charity can use each and every one of these pairs to make a tangible difference in someone’s life.
H&R Block’s Non-Profit Referral Program is available to certain 501c(3) organizations. To be considered for 2010, charitable organizations should contact their local H&R Block office.
